~ events designed to intrigue ~ Let's make your event fantastic! Gorgeous! Unique! Colorful! Yep, I just used exclamation marks where I could have used commas, because I want us to have FUN! I'm super excited about collaborating with you to design exactly how your event will look, from the linens and flowers, to lighting, staging, and all the special touches that reflect the goals of your event and that truly provide visual interest to your guests. How is an event designer different from an event planner? We work hand-in-hand, with one person handling the timeline to all your vendors to the complete logistics of your project to (moi!) managing those elements just for your visuals. In other words, I'd create a vision board and fully design out how your event will look, then manage the vendor orders for what we need to bring in to make that happen: renting linens & decor, hiring a lighting director/designer, constructing the stage and dance floor, working with the floral designer to ensure everything works perfectly together and we have the best number of elements for the space, as well as any other component to your event that is, well, visible! I've around 16+ years' experience in events and honey, I've seen a lot and done a lot of events! That leads me to my particular slant towards events and what thrills my little heart: colors, textures, non-traditional combinations of pieces, and a touch (or a whole lot!) of moody sexy sultriness. There are so many designers who can create beautiful events in the "shades of ivory and blush pink" realm and no shame in that game--it's always lovely! You'll even see some of these pastel pretties in my portfolio (I am, alas, an advocate of alliteration). Personally, though, I'd rather get a little off the wall, a little nerdy, and a whole lot more colorful. Send me a note to say "hey" or whatnot. Let's do this!
