Becoming Images

Becoming Images is an intimate wedding & elopement photography studio based in Juneau, Alaska although Penny, the owner, has wandered the world doing what she loves. From Alaska, to the Pacific Northwest and all the way to London- her fire for photographing love has take her there. Penny has been documenting life, love, and laughter for more than 15 years; with over 230 weddings and countless portraits in her portfolio. Becoming Images has been nationally published and received several awards for excellence. Penny was born and raised in Colorado and spent her childhood hiking the trails of the Colorado Rockies, which has stayed in her blood. She now calls the mountains and fjords of southeast Alaska home and she prides herself on finding the perfect backdrops for her couples. Her own 32 year old love story fuels her craft and when she isn't behind the camera, you will find her hiking, snow-shoeing, or cross-country skiing the amazing trails that surround Alaska's capital city. Becoming Images' work is a celebration of passion, inspiration, and possibility. Penny and her team believe that your love story is unique and beautiful; it brightens and brings hope to the world (and we all know how much we could use that).
